« on: October 09, 2014, 05:26:46 pm »
Just watched sundays countryfile on bbc i player, there was a piece about harvesting, showed a unimog working in a field but it set on fire, not a good advertisement.

common sight with clatter wagon trailers. poor operator as he should have kept it clean as they make an awfull lot of dust and all exhaust are hot when worked hard. Always a good idea to carry a fire extinguisher  :D

I think I seem that one heading into Stroud a little while ago, or one very similar, a bit of an unusual colour.
Are the cabs fiberglass on the new shape ones? The one on the telly had seemed to burn away to nothing.

A mix of carbon and fibre very strong but flammable, steel cabs don't servive any better.

Does anyone know anymore Info on why she went up? I guess it's dust from the crop? I guess it must have gone up quick as they parked over the straw with the trailer still hitched?

I asked the guys at South Cave, they said it was too far gone to determine the cause.
