You mean for when the doors open? Normally it would be brighter but I've got the front light out at the mo as I'm replacing the aerial  :P might fit one though, could put it into my headliner, maybe use a Unimog one   :o

been a while since the last update, still got to get pictures of the seats, but they're a bit grubby now, so need a good clean before i can take piccies (note to self, buy seat covers :p )

Anyhow, the van failed it's mot on a couple of small things, fixed them the same day and took it back after the weekend, passed with flying colours  :)
Also fitted a new engine mount, much smoother ride now, just a tad noisier in the cab though, i have got pic's of old v's new, but seem to have misplaced them, put it this way, it was most definitely a necessary repair!  :o

and for the latest toys :)

Click to view the vid :)

Vauxhall griffin puddle lights :D they look awesome, really clear, very chuffed :) To fit them i took the power source from the interior light wires that run up the front left A pillar (it's a switched earth so that's the only easyish way really) then junctioned off to either side behind the glove box, i mounted the lights in the bottom of the door cards, just to the rear of the door pockets :)

Doing a fairly major audio mod at the mo, nothing to do with speakers but with the head unit itself, so will put pic's up when i start making progress. :P

thought's opinions and idea welcome :)

cheers, Brian

That there vauxhall has over 230,000 miles on it, has caused me minimal problems ( the only part so far that i've had to replace which isn't a service part is an alternator and a tiny water hose, and it now needs a turbo) and has done 70,000 miles more than the vw caddy i used to own, before the vw blew its head gasket 3 times, and left me stranded on the side of the M62 on a cold winters night. not only that, but that vauxhall has no rot on it, unlike the vw, which had to be severely welded to get through an mot, and even then it needed more doing to it.
That's just to name a few things. :)

In conclusion, my Vauxhall has beaten the VW hands down in every category so far.  :)

Isn't one of the mogs yours? Work on that one. Probably best to get really good before you take on something like your Westfalia. Mistakes will be seriously hard to rectify on such a rare vehicle.
