Regarding the windows, one of the best plastic polishes I have ever found is toothpaste. It's such a fine abrasive that it doesn't leave any scratches, and it works a treat. I'm not sure if it would clear your windows but it's got to be worth a try on a corner to see how it goes. I've only ever used it on coloured items
