thanks for that Nick, i had nothing to loose so it was worth a try, i was also amazed at how well it worked.

i took the radiator out last night, as i couldnt turn the engine over by hand and when turning the fan it just turned the pulley and not the engine
it does turn over now with a ratchet and socket, i was fearing the worse as it had been stored in the hanger at work with no spark plugs in, but it seems fine
will know for sure once i have it running, i have a new engine with it so i can always swap it over!

does anyone know if there are repair panels available for the front edge of the drivers floor? just behing the pedal cover plate. this is the only bad bit i can find on her. looks like at some time water had been sat in there, and the edge has rotted a little, or is it a case of habving to make one myself!
