Yeah, I'd say he's taken water on, can bend a con rod if there's a lot of water :-\ he was trying to keep it running so the water got blown out :P
And yeah, a lot of them have to much money! :D try searching up zetros Breslau, that'll open your eyes :O
If they're xm47's they could well be 800 quid or more ;)

Yeah... I know mogs are tough vehicles but I'd have thought the best idea would have been to shut it down as soon as it started showing signs of issues? Better to get the engine apart and clear it out than try to force it. Having said that, I am of course assuming that they care about the engine. They most likely have the funds to see an engine transplant or fix as a better option than admitting defeat?! :o

Just watched it again and spotted the round cab tipping over - could see that coming. Funny though!

I'm not sure I could do that with a vehicle I owned? It looks a bit brutal and I don't suppose they last long being treated that way?

well, got the mog in the workshop... just!

the roof caught the lintel   :o

anyway, dad chopped the roof off whilst i was working in the 406.145

so now we're half way to a cabrio, we can just finish the back up, then start fitting a cage, we keep haveing to tell ourselves not to make it too pretty, believe it or not the black one was originally intended as a trialer! but dad put to much effort into it so it was too good!

Remind me not to invite your dad here. My mog doesn't fit in my workshop either, but I quite like the roof! ::)

haha! well we're trying to work out how were gonna get it out once weve done the cage, we think we'll have to drop it on its discs  :D

as for your previous question of how long they last when theyre treated so brutally, theyre fine as long as theyre properly maintained  :)

I can't remember where it was I saw it, but there was a fella on one of the mog forums who had bought a set of small car wheels/tyres and drilled them to fit the mog studs. When the truck went away for the winter (it was a mint 406 so summer use only!) the little tyres went on and he could drive it into the workshop.

They were seriously bodged on and fitted the wrong way around because the disks couldn't fit inside the wheel, but they did the job to roll it in and out. Once it was in he put it on stands anyway.

You should make a set - you'd be able to drive all your mogs in if you wanted to work on them in winter.
