Can I request a cascade box tutorial please?

Any chance of a 406 cascade box tutorial? I've got one on my new truck and can't even begin to figure out how it works?

chack out the levers for the u900 on the tutorial pages. The cascade box (in simple terms) gives reduced gears such as crawler and super crawler. it also gives you a splitter gear which drops you DOWN half a gear. ie on road work, your mog struggles up a hill in 6th gear, pull the splitter gear leaver forward (towards the windscreen) this gives you 5th plus a half.
the splitter will work on all road gears, this is helpfull when towing heavy loads/ trailers

So you just declutch and yank the cascade lever forward? What about to change down again? Main shift down and disengage cascade in the same change?

Yeah, clutch like an ordinary gear. Yes if u need to drop a another half gear from 5th.5 to 5th gear, you need to drop into 5th then disengage cascade or do both in one gear change.  Remember not to leave the splitter in neutral as a grub screw can work out inside the gearbox
