My 411
« on: May 19, 2014, 03:35:02 pm »
I bought it a few years ago in a very rusty condition, but it ran well after being left out to rot for years. Started life as a Rolba snow blower. Restoration underway but is taking a while!

Three pics of my 411 as it would have been. Believed a large Deutz air cooled diesel carried on the rear to power the blower.

What a machine! I would imagine it will have low hours being an ex-snowblower? and look after the badges (the one on the side and the bonnet) they're becoming quite collectable :) and also the head lights, €170 each! :o

I've got a bit of a soft spot for 411's! It's always nice to see them being restored - although taking on a machine that age must present some challenges with parts?!

Most of the panels and such are being made aftermarket now, and the engine is one of the most common motors in the world, used in boats and all sorts, just things like the governors that are different :) The main issues are axles.
