Unimog show pictures 2016
« on: August 02, 2016, 09:34:12 pm »
For those that like the older unimogs and accessories, here are a few images that I took while visiting the UVC annual meeting in Germany. As usual there was a massive turn out of old unimogs and of course some auto jumble to find those much needed parts.

I met Tim on the Morsum show and we had a good time. There were more than 300 Unimog and there was a wide field to play Unimog. Trailers and tools were offered for free to try, like plows, cultivators etc. For us it was 250km to go, a 5 hours ride on the Unimog 411.

Next year the show will be in 48249 Duelmen near Muenster in Noth-Rhine Westfalia, from July 28th-30th, 2017.

On the show in May from UCG in Laberweinting there were five Uniknick shown together, but the UVC show is more dedicated to the older Unimogs.

Regars

Moose,

do you mean Gaggenau in Germany? You know that Unimog is now produced in Wörth?

Markus

New I'd spell it wrong 😀 Always have done ever since I first visited Gaggenau in 1992. And have been on training courses at both locations since more times than I can remember. Not just for work also pleasure visited at the 50 year with Mercedes and then drove my 406.120 to Wörth in 2011. I have a soft spot for Gaggenau lots of memories 😊

Hi Moose,

most of my colleagues were disapointed from the meeting 60 Years Unimog at Daimler in Wörth. Poor organization, poor camping areas long waiting queue for drinking coupons, etc. We had been at the same time to Aufenau, where the meeting was on the motor-cross trail. A lot of fun organized by the Unimog Rhein Main team. One of our smaller local activities.

For visitors which are more interested in the older , smaller Unimog from 70200, 2010, 401, 411, 421 and 406, they should visit a meeting of the Unimog Vereanen Club (UVC).

Will there be a meeting in 2021 in at Mercedes Benz (Gaggenau or Wörth)? I did not hear any rumor so far.

Regards,
Markus

I enjoyed the 60 years because my son (Brian) was with me and we mixed with Unimog fans, where at the 50 years I was the guest of Mercedes Benz although good was typically sterile diferant peaple different values 😀 DRINKING COUPONS 😀😀 didn't know about them  !
You are correct they may have something at 75 years, that's dipressing I'll be 61 ! We will have to find something sooner 😊
The 406 we drove over in 2011 was an original British import from 1971 and it went back to its birth place 40 years later after a lot of work went into it, 2000 mile trip and she behaved flawlessly that's what memories are made off 😊

Hi Moose,

sorry, I just read you post today. The UVC show in Meinbrexen is postponed to 2021. All other shows are canceled. I recommend the UVC show.

Regards
Markus

P.S.: In the meantme I wrote a book about special Unimog tools for the Unimog Museum. Including manufacturing drawings.
