Welcome Phil ,got yourself a smart little Mog there I think like you say it's a U800 same thing as a u900 only fitted with a OM314 four cylinder version of the OM 352 around 74 BHP it won't be a race car but there a good engine for torque. With the crane mounted behind the cab that makes perfect sense with the four potter to keep the weght down on the front axle.
Keep on top of the cooling system as when those engines boil they tend to twist the block.
What's your intended use ? Is it a proper Hiab crane base like you say put some pictures up and we'll try helping you with any questions.
