Big update, the seats are in! :D

First of i needed to check if this bracket was required for the pivot point on the back rest. it wasnt, so i cut it out  :)

I welded the base brackets on first, although now i know what im doing it would have been simpler to weld the back into place, i'll explain why further in :)

anyway, pictures of the bottom of the bases

welded them in, didnt get any pictures during the process.

then had a gander underneath and was chuffed to see these underneath :p

theyre the captive nuts for the center brackets on the back rests. this is why i wished id started with the backrests first. it wouldve made it much easier to line everything up :)
so i drilled through from the bottom, and bolted the backs in at the center, one of the nuts was right above the tank, so i couldnt get to it and had to go from the top, using the brackets hole as a guide, i got it bang on though even though the hole was elongated, like a boss  8)

anyway, after id got the bases in and the backs bolted in at the middle i could weld all the other brackets in place :) it was pretty easy from this point as everything mounted to the seats in some way, except the stands that the base sits on which were a bit awkward, heres a pic before i painted them, forgot to take an after pic as i was a bit excited to get the job done  :-\

only thing i cant work out is where the bottom bolt goes for the seat belt, there is a cut out for the belt in the plastic trim, but i dont know where it bolts to the floor.

if anyone knows or even better has pics that would be awesome :P

anyway pics of it all together

from the back

from the front

plenty of leg room

plan to get seat covers with the same pattern as the front eventually, no rush though, seat covers are seat covers :)

tie down eye for when the seats are down :)

the brackets that the seats sit on, and also note the way the seat belt buckles are clipped to the seats, this is for when you fold the base back down so that the buckles are held out of the way :)

the base pivot points

folded up

the trim on the other side is the original from my van, so it doesnt go deep enough :( so im gonna mod it so that it turns out like a pocket  8)

the sub box fits perfectly between the rear arches unbelievably, i planned it of course  ;)

it all needs a good clean which is what will be happening over the weekend, also going to be making visits to the scrappers to see if theyve got any corsa c's.

personally im dead chuffed, dont think youd know if it had proper seat covers on  :)

as usual thoughts, ideas and opinions welcome :)

cheers, Brian
