next job.... whats her name?!  :D

How about, 406 121? ;)

Your wash has brought it up looking well, is that snorkel standard ?

Air over hydraulic assist brakes?

Rob

Technically it's a raised air in take, as although it is water proof, the rest of the engine doesn't have a deep waiding kit on it (not that they're really required for what most people do). The primary use for them was to raise the air intake away from dusty environments (hence, raised air intake). This is also why it's mounted at the front, rather than the back, where the turbulence causes dust to be thrown up. Cost a small fortune now, and can be hard to come by straight ones, look after it :)

Yep, air over hydraulic :)

Also noticed that you've got upper working light brackets on the wings ;)

Well this has thrown a spanner in the works... My memory is having a real battle now to figure out what's going on! I'm confused!

Rob - you are the fella with the U1300L? Canvas back and big bull bar, windscreen protector bars etc? I swear there were only three mogs on the day? Yours, Simon in a green U900 and Tom in the U1000? I have no idea who I thought was going to Poland? Could have sworn it was you! :-[

Working light brackets? Where?! :-\

The little black casting on the side of the panels, in front of the mirrors :)

Does it not have one on either side?
Oh, and dad says that the air intakes aren't water proof, especially not the air filter housing.

I don't know. I haven't got any pictures of that side at all for some reason? You may well be right... I'll check in the morning.

There's no way I'd wade that deep in it anyway - I'll get wet feet! :'(

NIc,

Your absolutely right, Tom in the U1000, who has since moved on to another project,
Simon in the lime green U900 and your’s truly in the U1300L.
Dreadnought ! I think is his user name—U 1300L went to Poland.

Villager, thanks for the clarification about the snorkle/ raised air intake.

The deep wading setup is a nightmare, the doing’s for that is a bundle of probs. I split that off from the 4x4/diff lock switch independently with the deep water wading pressurisation now as an option ! Agreed if your not sitting in four feet of water all day it is next to useless.

Excellent. I'm glad that at least I am remembering you as the right person... To get that wrong really would have been bad! Actually, Tom's mog came up for sale earlier this year in Tewkesbury - 20ish miles from me! I nearly had to go and see it but not having the money I couldn't quite make myself waste the seller's time just for the sake of being nosey!

How deep can a mog go without the deep wading kit?

I saw Tom’s old mog on fleebay did it sell ?

The wading pressure set-up is good for 4 feet deep. The pressure limiting valve sends about 2 or 3 PSI to axels, gearbox and hubs and can blow all sorts of seals if it exceeds this—I know only too well !

I'm not sure. It was well over my budget but not unrealistic considering the work that has been done to it.

I shouldn't think I'll ever want to do that in mine... I'll get wet feet! ::)
