so, bit of progress on the landmog project recently, been remounting the cab so that its isometrically mounted, the back of the cab was just last week mounted with two rubber bushes, and long bolts so that the frame could pull away from the bushes, safe to say my self and Dad werent happy with it, so time for a 3 point conversion  :)

this is how it looked before i started

The back body was 3 point mounted, but im planning to change the mounting system anyway  ::)

back body off

first job, get rid of the current cab mounts

this picture shows how we got the flex before, with an extra long bolt, it still caused the cab to twist though, one of the reasons i am changing it, along with its just proper to do it isometrically :)

rubber bushes off

so got the spider frame mount off (thats what the "triangle" attaches to behind the cab) didnt get a picture of that. as usual the big pins were seized in, one of the few things that do seize on these chassis. so i cut the triangle bits of and just pulled the whole thing off.

what i want to use for the pivot

some pics of the bare chassis

pics of the approx location of pivot

chopped the origional back body mount off

clamped the pivot into its final resting place

currently drawing the brackets to hold the pivot to the chassis and the cab to the pivot up on auto cad, then i'll get them plasma cut and it'll be time for some welding :)

Any questions feel free to ask.

Thoughts, ideas and opinions welcome as usual  :D

Cheers, Brian  ;D
