404 Rear axle articulation
« on: September 30, 2014, 11:20:17 am »
Just a quick video of my 404 climbing a hill.  Shows the rear articulation quite nicely.

Looks smart that Ian :) It shows the chassis twist nicely as well :) would you say the TJ springs have made a big difference?

I would say the TJ springs have helped.  The original springs obviously had to cope with max vehicle weight.  I'm nowhere near that so the springs were way too stiff and did not compress well.  As you can see the TJ ones compress nicely with only about 20kg of stuff in the box.

Looks great, have you modded anything else in the suspension?

The top damper mounts have been lowered and the original rear springs have been put on the front.  The rear springs are 4" lift Jeep TJ ones.

One of the first things said to me when I was looking at mogs is that they don't really need driving hard to get the job done. It's amazing what they can do
