Dan the Man,

Where did you get your horns from please? They look far more substantial than most i have seen for sale.

I would also relocate your PCL coupling up much higher as they do not like dirt and jam up relatively easily.

Hi Paul,
Got it from Kudauk :  https://www.kudauk.ltd.uk/product/black-diesel-airhorn

£52 incl VAT & shipping

The horn alternates between the two every second or so, but you can rewire it to blow both together I believe.

Happy as I was working on the conversion on my U1300L, you have to recognise it when fate intervenes.....
I dropped my Mog off at AV for some major mods a few weeks ago, but it turned out there was a mixup with the booking, leading to a 3 week delay.
Then what happens..... a U1300L appears on eBay already converted.
After a discussion with AV, one with my wife, one with my bank manager and a 600 mile round trip to see it, i’ve bought another one....
This means that mine will be going up for sale shortly, probably via Atkinson Vos.
It’s a very low mileage U1300L (21,000kms) On which I spent £9k with ACPrice in October getting any necessary work done.
Photos of the new one to follow next month, but in the mean time, if anyone is looking for a U1300L in truly excellent condition, please get in touch.
Not sure yet what is worth as I’m awaiting a valuation from AV.
Offers welcome.....
(Will post in the For Sale section too)

Is it a blue one from Worcestershire by any chance?

That’s the one Paul.
It’s exactly what I had intended for mine & thought the opportunity to save time and money was too good to miss.
It’s booked in with AV for the OM366 engine which I had earmarked for my current Mog.
Plan to take a few bits off mine (front winch, CB radio) to swap over before selling ideally.
Will post it on Facebook as Moose recommends. Last time I used FB I sold the driver’s seat within 2 days !!

Dan.

Received the new registration plates today for my new Mog.
Hope you all approve.....

I phoned the DVLA to enquire about them last year & they told me they’d never been issued.  Asked for them to be released & they turned up in the DVLA auction last month.
Apologies to anyone on here who also bid on them.

Ah, this is where, you're hiding, Dan! Thanks for the link for the seats. I'll make a note of this and add it to the endless to-do-list.  ;D
